"Summer Nine-Patch"

I loved designing and piecing this project. I was inspired by the lovely, bright fabric colours and decided to highlight them with a simple, graphic design, plus a little black and white.
I'm planning to make another project using this design. This time I'll use the more subdued, autumn coloured fabric that I still have in my Grab Bag, and will make it a little larger by using 2" x 2" squares to make the nine-patch blocks (rather than the 1 1/2" squares I used in the Summer Nine-Patch).
