Have you ever looked at our "Customer Gallery?" Whenever somebody sends a photo of their creative works, I try to add it to our Gallery. If you have something to share, please send it to info@cherrywoodfabrics.com with a description of what you made along with your name and where you are from.
Here is the latest inspirational e-mail we received: (This quilt will be in the Minnesota Quilt Show June 15-18)
While at the AQS in Des Moines last fall I purchased 2 FQ Gradations packs (Cranberry to Light and Onyx to Light)--our wedding colors. My plan was to make a journaling quilt for my husband and I to use as a diary when we went to Hawaii for our 25th anniversary.Well I did get it finished and on the plane it went with us.I had no design plan when I purchased the fabric--but loved the gradations--so EQ5 to the rescue. Steps to the altar block was a perfect place to use your luscious fabrics!!!!I also had some yardage left from the making of my bridesmaids dress--so they are in the center Hawaiian blocks and the very top piece of the altar block.
The blocks that form the "Lei" around the center blocks was also a steps to the altar block and with a few revisions became the perfect place for the journaling. And some nice blank spaces on the sides to fill up with my longarm quilting.Since these photos were taken I have added photos from Hawaii, added some crystals to the Lei, and colored the hibiscus border with colored pencils. Just thought I would let you know how your fabrics helped my make my memory. I named it "Promise Kept" because my DH promised me on our wedding day that for our 25th he would take me to Hawaii!!!
Anyway--thanks again for such great fabrics!!
